Galvin, T. P. (2004). How to Follow Soccer in Europe. Retrieved September 20, 2010, from : http://www.tompgalvin.com/features/soccer1.htm
The main argument of this article is the structure and difference in soccer in Europe. This article really helps state the difference between American and European soccer. Not only is this a game, its life in Europe. America is on its way but far from the glory Europeans have. This article shows us many major championships and opportunities teams have in Europe. This source is very helpful to my research. This article shows difference perspectives people have on soccer and how it relates to them. This shapes my argument greatly because I think America should be in the same category as Europe. It’s going to take time but I can wait.
Brown, S. F. (2005, March). Can European Football Spur Interest in American Soccer? A Look at the Champions World™ Series and Major League Soccer. Soccer and Society, Retrieved September 20, 2010, from http://pierretristam.com/pdfs/wc3.pdf
The main arguments are about the key arguments of why American soccer is not up to date. This source helps us learn how we can change the sport of soccer in America. This resource shows actually results and information about the difference in leagues. This source fits really well into my topic because it shows how people are already trying to change the views of soccer. This state’s my argument because it actually is my argument. I want to see people view soccer differently in our country. It is a beautiful game and people are missing out on it.
Saporito, B. (2010, June 14). Yes, Soccer Is America's Game. Time, 175, 82-86. Retrieved September 20, 2010, from Academic Search Complete database.
The main arguments in this source are American tradition, American society views and the truth that soccer was stated in the United States. This article is going to help me greatly. It shows a view from the other side. This fits into my research because this is something that most people didn’t know. Instead of me showing everyone about European soccer, I am going to also explain key concepts on US soccer.
Rozier, J. (2010, June 29). The Future of U.S. Soccer. Yanks Abroad, Retrieved September 20, 2010, from http://www.yanks-abroad.com/get.php?mode=content&id=6465
The main argument of this source is to show people the future of our sport. People are going to want to know where this sport is going. The main point I am going to try and get across to people is that European soccer is a necessity. People need soccer in Europe just like we need football. This article will help me explain what we are going to do in order to reach the European popularity.
Plumer, B. (2004, August 4). How Soccer Explains the World. Mother Jones, Retrieved September 20, 2010, from http://motherjones.com/politics/2004/08/how-soccer-explains-world
The main argument of this article is soccer and the world. This is an overview of the views of soccer around the world. People see soccer in many different ways; this article shows us those ways. This fits into my research very well. This article shows views from around the world, not just European and American people’s information. This shapes into huge data I can collect and show people about soccer’s overall value.
